Harry Dewey
Harry was one huge, tough rooster! He and Ruby, Thelma and Louise came to us from Dr. Aiello's farm after he has passed away. They were our first chickens. Harry passed away after suffering an apparent heart attack. RIP, Harry.
|
Ruby Dewey
Ruby was a beautiful, sweet girl. She was the last of the original four to pass away. RIP, Ruby.

Thelma Dewey
Thelma and Louise were quite a pair! They were inseparable. They came to us along with Harry and Ruby in April 2005. She got sick the following year and made two trips to the vet in a cat carrier... Thelma was the first of the group to pass away. RIP, Thelma.

Louise Dewey
Louise was Thelma's BFF! She passed away not long after Thelma. She was one the original four. RIP, Louise.

Opie Dewey
Opie was our second rooster. He and Ruby had the coop all to themselves for a while, until he passed away. RIP, Opie.
|
Petey Dewey
Petey is our third rooster. We got him to keep Ruby company. He's a very handsome boy, the most gentle of the three roosters we've had so far!

Tweety Dewey
After Ruby passed away Petey was lonely for companionship... so we got Tweety along with Chipmunk and Spotty from a neighbor. The four of them hit it off right away and they are loads of fun! Tweety lays light blue eggs!
|
Spotty Dewey
Spotty looks like Petey, a gorgeous black! She has big, beautiful eyes, too. She gives us large, brown eggs.
|

|
Chipmunk Dewey
Chipmunk came to us with Spotty and Tweety. We've nicknamed her 'Roadrunner' because she whips around the pen faster than the speed of light sometimes! She gives us pale green eggs.
|
Tom Dewey
Tom was our anniversary present! He is a large (45+ pounds) white turkey. His owners didn't want him any longer so we offered him a loving place to roost. Tom is like a little puppy dog, he follows us all around, very curious as to what we may be doing. He gobbles every time someone pulls up in the driveway.

Daisy Dewey
We got Daisy just a few weeks after Tom the Turkey arrived. Daisy is what they call a bronze turkey. We felt Tom needed a female companion, and we were right! She's the same age as Tom but quite a bit smaller.
|
Rose & Lily Dewey
When we got Daisy we also got two new young (3 months old) hens. The larger one is Rose and she's definitely the leader... as the smaller one, Lily, follows her everywhere! They are so cute, just like little kittens! They live in the pen with Tom and Daisy (who they THINK are their dad and mom!) but when they grow bigger they'll go in the other pen with the adult chickens.
